So far I've never been able to color digitally the way Id like. I'm not even sure what sort of coloring style I'd like to do, but anything so far hasn't been it. u_u I dunno if it's just cause I suck at digital art, (probably x3), or a lack of the right tools.
The mouse isn't really much different from using a pencil, but maybe a tablet would be better/easier? D: Although to be honest, I don't really know what a tablet does or how it works. xDD;
They're pretty expensive, so I don't want to get one just to find out I don't like using it, or that it doesn't make a difference. :/ Plus I don't do much digital art anyway.
But I'd still kinda like to try one and see. I'm confused. ;___;
It's my birthday in 5ive weeks anyway, so I better decide soon. @____@
Any info on tablets, which ones are the best to get etc. would be really helpful. x3

For me, I used a mouse for years before I got my tablet, and for me it did wonders to my artwork. Part of it, I believe, was also do to getting a version of Photoshop elements because it had better brushes and pressure sensitivity than Paint Shop Pro9.
I use the Intuos3, but for you something smaller like a Graphire or Bamboo should work. However, I've heard complaints about the Bamboo (not sure if it's the regular or "fun" version)'s pen ceasing to work prematurely, and pens are fairly expensive, so be careful.

But I didn't think a tablet would really be that much different until I actually tried it, and now, while I can still do work with mouse, it feels wrong. xD It vastly improved me.
The pen not working would be bad. @_@
